Winners’ Concert, Wiener Konzerthaus
SCL 2019, Vienna, Austria
Temecula Valley's very own Cadenza String Orchestra won a first-place award in the Special Group category at the competitive 2019 Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival held in Vienna, Austria.
There they were chosen to play at the winners’ concert at the Vienna Konzerthaus (above), and also had the opportunity to play at the Golden Hall of the Musikverein.
The group is currently working in anticipation to return to Vienna and the SCL Festival in 2021.
The Cadenza String Orchestra has played at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church in Temecula and at Latter-Day Saints churches in Temecula and Menifee. The group has also collaborated with the choirs of St. Martha Catholic Church in Murrieta, Filipino Community Choir at Our Lady of Angels in Los Angeles, St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Temecula and, more recently, with the Escondido Choral Arts at the California Center for the Arts to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing.
